Since my last website update, I have finished a long due project - GOAgain, a music video from videos shot in a short trip in 2016. It was fulfulling, because this is probably the first time I have done something significant with photography. I have been taking photos for a long time, and they have just been places/faces/moments/scenes that
I could spot and capture beautifully (self praise, why not?) This is the first time my 'camera work' has translated into something bigger than just a photo with a witty caption. I have several more ideas - like blogs, videos, narrations - in this domain and I am quite motivated to bring them to life.
Home is not just a place, an investment or a feeling. It's also the one screen you're bound to visit on your phone. Why not keep it beautiful?
Wopple is an app where I put a few collections of my photos, assorted into different categories. I believe that people who take a liking to my photography would appreciate this fusion of my favourite professional interests.
Download Wopple and get images that will make you happy every time you hit 'home'.
What began as a one-time contract transcended into my most significant work.
I started off with Yumist as the only developer on the team; and went on to be a part of a total hustler of a 8-man tech club
Handling the Android platform single-handedly for a majority of the time, I focused on enhancing performance and stability; and to make the app the ideal puppet for a well-built API.
The app is no longer available on Google Play, checkout my LinkedIn profile for a detailed account.
I have developed an Android app to facilitate the Better Cotton Initiative(BCI) by increasing the reach to every farmer's Android phone. The app is 100% multi-lingual by using the Blueprint API of SailsJS. The system had to be designed to work with poor network connectivity. The app also has the possibility of supporting any number of languages without the need of an update.
BCI aims to transform cotton production worldwide by developing Better Cotton as a sustainable mainstream commodity.
Massive shoutout to my brother - Anshul - for helping me on this.
CarPal was my first step into professional Android development. Founder and developer of the original iOS app , Varun Goel trusted me to replicate the app on Android. It was a fantastic experience where I got to learn a lot.
Car Pal is integrated with the City of Chicago's Open Data Portal thereby knowing ahead of time WHERE & WHEN the streets of Chicago are being cleaned. Once you save the location of your parked car, we identify & remind you a day ahead of time to move your car so you can avoid street parking ticket.
It's a perfect sunny day, you've taken your red sports car for a country ride. Sounds too good to be true?
You bet! The road is full of roadblocks. Use your thumbs to swipe these boxes left or right, as indicated.
How long can you keep your car crash free?
The good Aura flows through a delicate tube, and it is raining FIREBALLS! You must use metal spikes on the tube to protect the Aura from them.
One tap controls the game. Sounds easy, doesn't it? Try out Aura Defence to know.
How many fireballs can you stop before they crash into our most vital energy source?
Ladakh is the one dream ride of every Indian biker. Every year, hordes of passionate bikers gear up for this ride.
From the recorded experiences of my friends at Escapades the Rebellion , I compiled a short peek into the thrilling ride.
The video is property of Escapades The Rebellion. The video hasn't been shot by me. I have compiled the music video using Kdenlive.
Chhavani Parishad Vidyalaya - a school founded in 1884, in a small town called Pachmarhi.
A 133 year old school, which has grown into a new-age school, fully equipped with a smart classroom, music and sports tuition. A majority of the students in this school are children with underprivileged backgrounds.
Chhavani Parishad Vidyalaya, Pachmarhi has been standing strong like a Banyan (Bargad) tree, as a blessing for the children it shelters. It was a wonderful experience to visit this place impromptu and shooting it on a dying battery and editing it in a jiffy.
One of the smaller assignments in terms of time and effort, LabGear was one of the most fun projects I worked on in 2017. Raheel, whose vision I helped implement here, is one of the coolest people I've worked with.
LabGear is the most advanced pocket tool for Medical Laboratory tests with peer reviewed content for all health care professionals - students, physicians, nurses.
Music video featuring India's favourite travel and party destination - Goa. Shot using SJCam SJ5000x Elite and edited in DaVinci Resolve.
I used KDEnlive for editing before this video. The complexity of this video was getting hard to achieve as KDEnlive would frequently crash and freeze. DaVinci Resolve turned to be a blessing as it was also free and way more stable. The learning curve wasn't too steep and the results were brilliant, at least from my perspective.
The present. Technology is leaping ahead at lightening speed. Life is moving in fast forward and in this process, our mind can sometimes get affected adversely. A conscious effort towards maintaining the peace of mind is required. Rajya Anand Sansthan is a government body committed to the same ideology. It conducts several programmes to encourage people to take care of their mental health.
Using current gen technology like YouTube and its wide accessibility, Rajya Anand Sansthan is trying to promote its video content to further its mission.
I have helped them create a YouTube channel for the organisation, automatically organise their videos into separate sections of various programmes and make them easy for viewers to search for and share. I am also helping their team maintain this channel in the long run.
